What our service includes
We take care of the entire file preparation process, including:
- Official translation of your Canadian documents into Spanish, in accordance with current legal standards;
- Notarization of the required documents;
- Apostille and/or legalization procedures with the relevant authorities, as applicable;
- Personalized support at every stage of the process, tailored to your province of residence.
In short, we handle all the administrative procedures in Canada so that your wedding abroad goes smoothly.
Basic documents required
Our team will review with you the exact list of documents to provide based on your situation.
Each country has its own requirements, but you will generally need to present your identification documents, such as your passport and driver’s license, as well as your recent civil status documents, including your birth certificate issued within the last five years, your divorce certificate, or your widowhood certificate, as applicable.
We also take care of drafting the declaration of single status or non-remarriage required by the authorities in Cuba and the Dominican Republic, in accordance with the laws, customs, and administrative requirements in force in those countries.
Each document is prepared in accordance with legal and consular standards, ensuring its validity and acceptance by the relevant authorities.

Additional fees to be expected
All costs associated with obtaining documents outside Canada—particularly in the spouse’s country—are the responsibility of the client.
VisapourCanada has no authority to intervene outside Canada and does not cover any steps or expenses incurred abroad, including document fees, notary services, or any other formalities related to the wedding outside the country.
